Yelp, Groupon Hit In Latest Round Of Marketer’s IP Blitz

Law360, New York (May 28, 2013, 4:02 PM ET) — Digital marketing company Blue Calypso Inc. filed another round of infringement lawsuits in Texas federal court Monday, accusing Yelp Inc., Groupon Inc., Foursquare Labs Inc. and others of infringing its patent covering electronic offers. 

Blue Calypso filed five separate lawsuits against Yelp, Groupon, Foursquare and social media companies MyLikes Inc. and Izea Inc., marking the second time in three weeks that Blue Calypso has sued the social media giants.
