Yelp’s Throwing a Sacto Block Party

Yelp profile.

Check out the details:

Grandiose gatherings are worth repeating, and that’s all the reason we need to throw Yelp’s Farm To Handle — a second epic block party celebrating the Handle District and Sacramento’s reputation as the farm-to-fork capital. On Sunday, Sept. 22 from 3–6pm, we’re taking over a midtown block and attached private courtyard and pool for a sunny afternoon filled with complimentary drinks, food, music, and much more. Kick off Sacramento’s first Farm To Fork week with Farm To Handle!

We’ll have a cornucopia of gourmet edibles from the district’s restaurants, including Aioli Bodega EspanolaBuckhorn Grill,Capital DimeMangia!Monsoon Cuisine of IndiaOld Soul,PaesanosThe RindThai Basil Café and Zocalo. Grab a reusable Yelp bag and check out those same ingredients in the raw with an array of fresh produce stands, tastings, and displays from Trinity Fresh. Additional bites will come fromPretzel Crisps and Kind Snacks.

Throw on your shades and cool down with cocktail combos from Sailor Jerry rum and Buffalo Trace Bourbon Whiskey, bask in cervezas galore from PacificoCoronaModelo Especial, and Negra Modelo; or relish the vinos from R. Merlo Estate Vineyards and Clarksburg Wine Company. If you’re not relying on our transportation partners at Uber, designated drivers can enjoy more free offerings from our friends atPepsi.

It doesn’t end with your taste buds, as we’ll also titillate your other senses with live music on our main stage from acclaimed funk/soul band The Nibblers, and synchronized beats from DJ Micro, with a second stage of live music in the courtyard at 1801 L Street. Yelp’s Elites will get access to the private pool area as well as beers, bikinis, and the beautiful gals from Pacifico and Left Coast Girls. Capture all the memories at photo booths from Giggle Riot or in stills from the talented folks at Photostudio29. Is all this fun creating tension? Look for shoulder massages from Bassil Kamas, CMT, voted best massage on KCRA’s A-List.

All the revelry is completely free, but a minimum suggested donation of $10 at the entry will benefit both Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary, a no-kill animal rescue group dedicated to protecting and improving the lives of homeless and abused animals; and WEAVE, the primary provider of crisis intervention services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Sacramento County. A major thank you goes out to Classic Party RentalsArea Restroom Solutions, andStage, Lights And Sound for their many contributions. This event is only made possible through the generous support of the Midtown Business Association1801 L Street and theSacramento Visitors And Convention Bureau.

This party is open to anyone with a Yelp profile, so RSVP now and reserve your spot before it’s gobbled up!
