Yelp is very much still respected and valued by businesses

Hi all. I read comments how Yelp is a thing of the past, no one pays attention to Yelp, Yelp is done for, et al. You’ve seen business articles and opinion pieces bemoaning Yelp, and they’re unpleasant. There might be a spot of truth, but so far, Yelp is still here.

I’m giving a shout out to fellow Yelpers and the business community who still feel Yelp has value and helps people make informed decisions. Over the past month, I’ve been on a spree to call out things in reviews that have resulted in owners and managers sending me DMs thanking me for seeing positives and negatives, and in some cases, asking for second chances.

I love Yelp. It’s fun to read good reviews and updated ones along with the painfully explicit ones. Thanks to Yelpers who keep it real and Yelp HQ.
