Hey small business owners, I just wanted to pass along this tip. If you’re frustrated that Yelp reviews show up for your business in Apple Maps, there’s now actually something you can do about it.
Apple has been generating their own review system for businesses for quite some time now, and they are phasing out Yelp as the main review system on display in your business listing if you have five or more native Apple business reviews about your business. Here is a video explaining Apple’s simple thumbs up/down system that will replace Yelp reviews in your Apple Maps business listing if you have 5+ Apple business reviews:

So small business owners: Just ask customers to review their business directly with Apple Maps until you hit at least five Apple business reviews. Then when customers search your business page in Apple Maps, your Yelp reviews are adios!
Apple is coming for Yelp and it’s beautiful to see. No wonder Yelp’s stock price is down 36.79% year-to-date.
