This post was created today and it’s from an owner whos business is sharing that their genuine 5 star reviews is getting removed by Google. Sounds familiar to the other owners saying the same thing about Yelp? I been fortunate enough to not experience this issue but it’s only a matter of time before I do. I’m dealing with people leaving just star ratings instead of writing an actual review so there no route to dispute if its fake.
This post from a business owner was created today, highlighting an increasingly concerning issue: Google is removing genuine 5 star reviews from business profiles. Does this sound familiar? It’s reminiscent of the ongoing complaints from business owners who have experienced similar issues with Yelp and claiming it’s due to them not signing up for Yelp Ads.
Fortunately, I haven’t personally encountered this problem yet, but I can’t help feeling that it may only be a matter of time. I’m already dealing with another frustrating issue:, people leaving star only ratings without providing any written feedback. The problem with these ratings is that there is no meaningful content to review or challenge. Even if a rating is potentially fake or illegitimate, there is little basis for disputing it when Google doesn’t identify a policy violation.
